We are concentrating in two areas for the uplift of living standards in under-privileged communities and in the alleviation of poverty within these communities.
Firstly, by improving and introducing alternative income earning skills to the communities existing livelihood. These are primarily related to small scale agro industries.
Secondly, by providing environmental conditions that improve the health of a community to enable them to implement identified income generation schemes.
Initially the community is encouraged to communicate their requirements and identify their needs. There are evaluated by IE and followed by discussions with the community.
Once the community commitment is ensured, they are expected to contribute 20% of project cost in kind and/or monetary funds.
All projects incorporate training programmes to provide a degree of technical understanding so that all equipment is maintained, thus giving a degree of sustainability; all social and economic improvements are explained to the community.
The entire project process is supervised by IE and evaluation reports are sent to donors on a regular basis.
