to discuss the projects, to outsource programme expertise and to liaison
with their affiliates, both local and outside Pakistan.
SHAHID KHAN
CEO & Architect. R.I.B.A.(UK), A.R.I.A.S. (Scot), P.C.A.T.P., I.A.P.
(Pak) with 32 years experience. Has worked for 3 years in Africa for the
ODA rural educational and health programme. Built primary schools and
health clinics on self-help basis with indigenous materials. Has also
undergone a specialised course in Ecole de Architecture, Grenoble, France
in sustainable low cost housing techniques using indigenous materials.
Specialises in restoration of buildings.
MUSHTAQ DAWOOD
Structural engineer M.Engg. (Structures), AIT Bangkok. B.E. (civil) N.E.D
with 35 years experience. Worked for the Aga Khan Housing Board in North
Pakistan on low-cost buildings in earthquake areas. Has designed and built
bridges, highways, dams, marine structures, multi storey in USA, UAE,
Oman and Pakistan. Specialises in restoration of buildings and structures.
M.A. SHAH
B.Sc., D.I.L. with 30 years experience in alternative energy
technology and socio-economic projects. Has been a Director of Pakistan
Council for Appropriate Technology (1994-99); is a Consultant to COMSAT.
Has conducted 33 research projects in wind/solar energy, construction
techniques, bio mass and alternative building systems.
